MARKET INDICATORS

While most of the broader measures of market momentum remain negative there is some evidence the market has knocked a lot off a broad range of high flyers beyond Y2K.The % of stocks 2 standard deviations above both the 40 and 200 day moving average has fallen to lows that became turnaround points over the last 52 weeks.ON a broader front only 57% of stocks are now above their 200day moving average. This equals the low set in NOvember 97.
