Can some one post a url from where this is quoted? I hadn't
heard that one but I'm 99% sure it's being used out of context
on this thread....considering it took years for msft to get to win 1.0,
and that it was a laughing stock for many versions.

btw, nice alleged email. Even if it's true, which I don't doubt, so
what? If there's a viable option to replace Windows couldn't
ibm, cpq, dell, nscp/whoever pitch in to make it happen? Gawd,
msft was a small company when it had ibm ready to wipe it off the
map with os2..., I agree that msft shouln't get away with strong arm
biz practices, but msft had to go after a lot of companies much bigger
than they were for years.

I think netscape and sun succesfully duped some politicians into
making buffoons of themselves. Yeah, msft can have a mean edge
that may get trimmed a bit, but if you think that'll stop the great software
from coming.., it won't.
