Philip - thanks for the link to that insightful, well-researched article on Sony's HiFD introduction. The authors seem certain that the battle for next removable storage is between Sony and Imation, and that Iomega and SyQuest will not really be competitive due to their lack of compatibility to the 3 1/2 inch floppy. And that a $20mm campaign is "betting the farm" on a product introduction? Even Rocky might have challenged that claim.
