These last few posts have been about individual Lucent deals. These are day-to-day deals that will not influence the long-term prospects of the company. Lets keep this thread to the long-term prospects. The stock is hanging out. Here are some reasons: 1. quick run-up was overdone but stock isn't dropping much because of deals and prospects. 2. Institutions are probably still buying the stock. 3. Individuals are still buying. 4. It is a great company with tremendous potential. The big long-term questions is will Lucent control the most important data, voice, etc. technologies of the next ten years. If it wants to do this, it has to go on a major buying spree. Bruce
