Hey- I hate MSFT too, but it's tanking is screwing up my other tech stocks. Now I don't know what to think- I want the DOJ/states to break up the company into two divisions: 1) operating system/browser, 2) everything else. Why is Gates so opposed to this? Investors would probably come out ahead, at least in the short term. He could retain his billions in the form of a stake/management of each. However, the market would then no longer have to feel compelled to buy all of MSFT's products... Additional question: why doesn't NSCP make their own operating system that is TOTALLY compatible with Win 95 programs, but perhaps with new features. Then customers could have a choice of operating systems/browsers (since the two are supposedly coming together)... Naive, just want MSFT's troubles to stop hurting my stocks, kev
