Ethernet 10 or 100baseTX

My internet connection is 10 Mbps and I'm wanting to connect
three computers together.

Would my 10Mbps internet connection and system perform better on
a 100 base or would this be overkill? Any distinct advantage of
starting with the 100 base?

Given this, would it be better to buy a 100 base card and hub system or 10 base? I'm starting from scratch and looking at a 4 port hub.

Thanks,
S.W.
