Reflecting on How WSTL has position themselves...... First I had mentioned M.Z.'s trip abroad and questioned the thread on thoughts about WSTL-ORCTF relationship. After consideration I have concluded IMHO that any type of potential merger would be okay but confusing and probably will not occur. That's okay the Investment bankers don't deserve a fee. However, I see a real possiblity that some type of INTEROPERBILITY arrangement makes sound sense. In fact, I think it's hard to say any XDSL companies are truly enemies. This interop type PR could become the norm as companies realize some business is better than none....AS far as WSTL..BEL is theirs also part of BT(IMHO). FTEL will be good foot in UK and who knows maybe something in Fujitsu-US will develope. DSC is born from BEL but they could probably use DSC-WSTL to help with many other customers. LU is so huge. Lu will use LU-WSTL for BEL and ICG(TBA). Who owns the most 5ess switches of the RBOCs....BLS! Look for something. Others Ameritech and the to date most determined US West. Who knows maybe a netspeed-wstl interop aggre is a possibility. WSTL has positioned the company to be able to get in all the RBOC's, front door(BEL&GTE-C) or back door(LU&DSC). The goal is to be their to make $$$$. Your own the right horse they just have not opened the gate. I think it's very clear BEL is very committed to WSTL and their relationship created DSC, helped start LU. I think it makes clear logic that BEL could be a potential strategic investor in WSTL. Helps WSTL for capital on BEL rollout and will give BEL a say in WSTL's potential future sleeping arrangements.BE PATIENT.......
