George, recall one of the reasons I gave for changing accountants?

My gosh, maybe Xoma is the uncle and GNE a near relative! It happens, you know. Potential parent companies will from time to time strongly suggest a change in fiduciaries (accountants, lawyers, bankers, etc.) to potential acquirees. On the other hand, GNE's own likely take-under may be slowing things down.

I know you do not favor a GNE buy-out (although we all have our price, don't we?) Still, it is an interesting explanation for what remains unexplained.
