First of all Cisco has NOT been removed from anywhere. They are clearly on the customer page and if you do a search they show up in numerous others. Secondly, if there is a problem(Siebel will fix it) with Lucent who is to say it is not the fault of the SI.

Siebel's strategy is not 100% customer reference but 100% customer SATISFACTION. Siebel's TAM bonus are paid by customer satisfaction, not whether that customer will be a reference.

I have worked with the company since its inception and everyone of Siebel's partners has signed a confidentiality agreement , it is very standard. Siebel has sold many customers who have never been announced because they deem Siebel a competitive advantage and have contractually binded Siebel to silence. Why help your competition, if you don't think the SW will give you a competitive edge you have nothing to hide.

It is not a question of Vantive against Siebel, there is no comparison. The only question is would you rather own Oracle or Sybase if you had the chance 10 years ago? I'd take Oracle any day and I'll take Siebel today

Personally, to take this to a level of questioning accounting policies and customer loyalty and/or satisfaction is very unprofessional. I think the lady Vantives doth protest too much.

IMO John
