My way of avoiding your problem is only to trade options with enough liquidity, although you cannot control the market, and I have had liquid atms become illiquid far itms, and had to give up a lot of juice to take profits. Imagine what would happen to options if the efficiency increased enough for the #daytraders crowd to trade them with push-button speed! Frightening... DanG
