You should see the results of entitlement programs in schools (I am a teacher). Children of "entitled" parents get more and more apathetic and more and more expectant of someone else doing for them. Parents stop making breakfast and lunch (after all the school does it for them) and for lazy people being forced (through circumstances of course never through law) to work gives their life meaning, being allowed through programs to do nothing makes them leeches. Its an easy life, but you are quite right, it is devoid of meaning and makes people dependent which in turn makes them resentful. Dedistribution of wealth is immoral and unconscionable freeus
