Is this the relief rally you were looking for?? Looks to be a sell on the news to me. Fears about the FOMC were already partially priced into the market. But it looks that that has not stopped more selling after then news came out.

Sentiment 101

What does it mean when there is a sell off on what can be taken as good news: no interest rate hike by Fed? Consider that there was already selling for consecutive days going in to this FOMC meeting right down to near the magic number of 9000. What type of sentiment is the market displaying?

1. Outrageous investor exuberance (this is you, Bobby) "Great guns! I get stocks cheaper now! The new mega-bull run is now upon us! Why wait? I will go out right now and buy that Lamborgini Kountach!" (sp)
2. Positive Market Sentiment
3. Neutral Sentiment: Who cares! Fed? What's a "F-E-D"?
4. Negative Market Sentiment
5. Market is "going to nearest exit, opening the door, and then jumping out of the plane screaming THE END IS NEEEEEEEEAR".

Choose one.
