Larry, Yes equipment orders are down. This implies that the future RATE of capacity GROWTH will diminish. Note that actual shipments were up this month (well maybe they were down a little since the number is a moving average) so the next quarter will not be effected. There is a fair amount of lead time between equipment being shipped and packaged, tested parts being shipped.

Supply won't decrease until some 8" fabs are moth balled.

Since the 64Mbit generation is fairly new, we can also expect capacity increases due to yield improvements even with low capital investments.
