You're doggone right, Grand Poobah, lots of good news - Brazil, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Alcatel/Samsung, DDI/IDO buildouts/startup 7/14/98 and w-cdmaOne testing, and Perry LaForge telling weenie-whiney North American GSMer's to go stick it. Iusacell will no doubt weigh in soon with its own Mexican announcements and contracts - would be great if Q got that one, but I doubt they will hand a competitor the infrastructure contract (the downside to Q's joint venture activity).

Wall Street anals seem particularly clueless when it comes to QCOM, but what do I know? I'm just some value guy who suddenly finds himself swimming in a high P/E pond. Some of the parameters are different, but being misunderstood by the street sure feels familiar.

Saw it reported on the Yahoo thread that Bell Atlantic has received and is selling 800 Mhz Q-phones (single mode or dual?). Can you or anyone else confirm this? And by the way, speaking of doggone, where has that q-dog gone - off kissing up to Janet Reno and her trustbusters?
