You know not whereof you speak! Compare results with HWP, IBM, CPQ -- all showed decrease in gross margins because of pricing pressure. Remember, component costs were down. So I repeat: there is zero, nada, no evidence of pricing pressure on Dell.

So in the longer view, if any of the other box-makers want to start a real price war they had better have exceptionally deep pockets. Think about this tidbit: CPQ had a gross margin of 18% -- down from 27%.
