If you are refering to the IBM anti trust action of the 80's .(failed? please read the link!)

Although IBM technically "won" the case when Justice
abandoned its lawsuit in 1982, the cost was devastating. Even
in its early days, "the antitrust case began to color everything
we did," Watson wrote.
From todays Washington Post :http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/WPlate/1998-05/19/138l-051998-idx.html

IBM did not really *win* the case.Reagan's anti trust team just settled a case, which after years of exhausting IBM, did not interst the Great Communicators team of *watcdogs*.
