Glad you posted that. Request a copy of the NT 5.0 beta. Talk about coming a long way in a short time. Right, Reg. Suddenly, one single new release fixes all of the problems and is even better than UNIX in performance, scalability, reliability, and availability (despite that it is still beta software). UNIX got to where it is in an evolutionary way. You can't have a baby in one month by distributing the workload over 9 women. And by the time they do match current UNIX performance, UNIX will be even better than the target that NT was shooting for. Sure, they might be able to close the gap, but it ain't going to happen as fast as you might think.
