bryan--

just one problem. mcafee was an established company that had to fight off increasing competition. dell on the other hand was and is the competition. as for market saturation, i have heard this argument for years, but for some reason people keep buying computers.

sure, the growth rate will eventually slow, but not until we see dell with more than 20 billion in annual sales. people are becoming more comfortable buying computers directly. this has and will continue to help dell tremendously.

as for this whisper # crappola, it isnt even analysts making them up. its TRADERS, and most of them probably have short or put positions. besides, the afterhours drop is normal. secondary markets are thinly traded, so i think you can expect up movement tomorrow. every once in a while we go through this whisper number junk until someone has the balls to say, this is STUPID. if you have an estimate, publish it. otherwise it simply doesnt count. what do i care if earnings dont beat the estimate of some moron who is an amateur analyst. the only reason it has any weight is because CNBC reports it so they can act like insiders.

good luck to all,
trey
