Thanks for excellent comments... I'll be checking the earlier posts you mentioned....

How is SDRAM determined to be 'truly PC100'? Is there a certification of some sort?
Haven't looked into monitors yet but Relisys and Viewsonic are offered at JC Computer. I'll have to do research.

Video cards available from this vendor include:
MISC:
1MB/2MB Trident 9680 PCI $30/$37
4MB Trident 9750 AGP $57
2MB/4MB S3 Virge DX PCI $45/$57

DIAMOND:
2MB/4MB Stealth 3D Pro 2000 PCI $55/$67
4MB Stealth 3D 4000 AGP $67
4MB Viper V330 AGP/PCI $100/$100

MATROX:
4MB Mystique 220 3D PCI $80
4MB/8MB Productiva G100 AGP $83/$95
4MB Millenium II PCI/AGP $130/$130
8MB Millenium II PCI/AGP $190/$200

Would you suggest the Millenium? Use PCI or AGP? 4MB enough or spring for 8MB?

As far as MB goes, Abit is also available. Asus sounds too risky....... any preferences here, Networm?

Thanks for your help, this is exactly the kind of info I was looking for. I really appreciate your comments.
