I watched the Nasdaq plummet right after the news came out today about interest rates remaining unchanged. (News was released at 2:15pm)

I would be interested in any comments the veterans on this thread would like to make about what this might mean for the near term market trend.

I have gone back over that last two years and correlated my trading to the graph of the Nasdaq. Since I am long in most of my positions, it is probably not surprising that the months when I make GOOD money are the same months that show a nice steady uptrend in the Nasdaq. (Like Jan-Apr98, May-Sept97, Aug-Nov 96.) I have decided that it is almost more important to know the market trend, then to know the stock.
