TRI-VISION APPOINTS SEASONED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER TO LEAD     ITS V-GIS(tm) V-CHIP CONSUMER PRODUCT LINE GROWTH
      Mr. John A. Craig, C.A. signs on as new Chief Financial Officer of Tri-Vision International
      May 19, 1998 - TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA - Tri-Vision International     Ltd./Ltee President & CEO Najmul Siddiqui is pleased to announce the Company has     appointed Mr. John A. Craig, C.A. to the position of Chief Financial Officer. In     addition, he has been appointed Vice President of Finance & Administration for     Tri-Vision International's wholly-owned subsidiary, Tri-Vision Electronics Inc. 
      An Honours graduate from the University of Western Ontario School of Business, Mr.     Craig brings a wealth of financial experience to Tri-Vision after holding senior positions     in medium to large sized North American businesses over the past 25 years. In his     distinguished career, Mr. Craig has held senior management positions in the     telecommunications and travel industries with such companies as Call-Net     Telecommunications (Sprint Canada), Wardair Canada, Worldways Charter Airline,     Troy Capital Inc. and MSC Management Services Inc.

      Following Tri-Vision's recent completion of a $13.8-million financing, Mr. Craig will     take the financial lead, both for operations as well as strategic financial planning, as the     Company aggressively moves into the consumer marketplace with the imminent rollout     of its V-gis(tm) v-chip product line in the United States. The rollout will follow the     anticipated announcement by U.S. broadcasters of the completion of program encoding     expected by late June, 1998.
