Kerm/ Don't be impressed - I'm not a technical expert....... I believe the acidization thing depends on a bunch of factors including depth of hole & geology of bedrock. Kinda' reminds me of the old high school experiments of putting acid on different types of rocks, some rocks fizz and others don't............ Other stimulation methods include fracing but I believe there's always the possibility of wrecking the borehole if too much pressure is used - like I said, I'm not an expert. Possibly someone on one of the USENET groups (sci.geo.petroleum?) could shed more light? Other methods supposedly include explosion but I'm not too sure how common, or the actual success, of blowing down a hole.
