The recent tests in India merely made it "official" to the World that India has the bomb, too.

I think the question why the U.S. or Russia should have the bomb and India or Somalia should not have it, has merit: IMO, either let them all have it if they can handle the technology or nobody should have it. The countries that have the bomg don't have a priori a greater right in owning it than the non-bomb countries.

I personally whished that all A-bombs be taken away from individual countries and governments and be placed under UN supervision, to be used only against "Alien" attacks or deflecting asteroids or something like that (I know, Sci-Fi stuff, highly questionable).

If these bombs are ever used in "normal" terrestrial conflicts, we can bury ourselves anyway, can't we?
