Neil,

Although this article raises some interesting points, including the inadequacies of Class 3, the biggest thing going for Fibre Channel is the fact that the storage devices will be using FC. Until that changes, I think Fibre Channel has the clear edge. I read somewhere that there is talk about putting Ethernet onto drives, but I don't know how far along they are. We clearly need to watch for this type of encroachment by the Ethernet camp, though. There is a lot of money behind the Gigabit Ethernet effort.
