Last week I placed a order to buy 1250 PNLK at 6 1/4 with Etrade when the price was starting to rise and it did not execute for 15 minutes and executed at 7 1/4. The price closed at 7 1/2 and I thought I was OK> The next day the stock opened at 6 and I was screwed. I called Etrade and have never received a good explanation. So I now at least put in some kind of limit to prevent a similar event.
