Okay I'll give you the benefit. I will try to verify actual SPX quotes in the future if possible.

Making money on 2% is very possible, depends on what you're playing. A mini SPX futures gives you about $1100.00 with a cost <$30. Play the spiders SPY would give you $220 on 100 shares, with a cost of <$40 or a profit of $180.00 Options kill you on the spread but much more leverage.
