An interesting side note:

It seems Microsoft bought the spinoff of Samsung
that owned the old 3DO Hardware technology.
Microsoft is planning to build a set top box,
that also will play dedicated games, using
the MX chip, thats the generation AFTER M2.
Apparently, Nintendo was also interested in
buying the technology.

I still can't believe how much Matsushita
$%^&*( up with the M2. With royalties from
the M2 plus new business from the MX we could
have all been rich by now.

I still think Trip made the right move. Free
royalties from M2 plus exclusive inside games
would have been great. Who would have thought
Matsushita would be soooooooo bad at entering the
home consol race.
