[LightPath Technologies, Inc. Adds James A. Wimbush to Board of Directors]
Former President of Ethicon, Inc. Division of Johnson & Johnson and Chairman and CEO of Lukens Medical Corporation Takes Newly Created Board Seat
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1998-- James A. Wimbush, 62, the former President of the Ethicon, Inc. division of Johnson & Johnson and former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Lukens Medical Corporation, has been elected to the Board of Directors of LightPath Technologies, Inc. (LPTHA/LPTHU).
Mr. Wimbush will take a newly created seat on the LightPath Board. Donald E. Lawson, LightPath's President and Chief Executive Officer, has also been elected to a new Board seat. The Board of Directors now consists of seven members.

Mr. Wimbush acquired Lukens Medical through a company he founded in New Jersey in 1984. He then moved it to Albuquerque. He had previously served as President of and Chief Operating Officer of Electro-Biology, Inc., a Fairfield, New Jersey, orthopedic company, and, before that, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Collaborative Research, Inc., a Boston, Mass.-based molecular genetics company.
From 1962 until 1982, Mr. Wimbush was with Ethicon, Inc., the Somerville, New Jersey, suture division of Johnson & Johnson. He spent the last four years as President. Mr. Wimbush resides in Albuquerque, where he has served on the Anderson School of Management Foundation Board of Directors at the University of New Mexico.
