Gateway is resurrecting Amiga. Users more fanatical than Mac users <g> There is a new CPU due to arrive in fall 99, a multimedia "mystery chip". On the surface it looks like competition with MacOS for graphics/home (and Be!). On the other hand, if the chip is a G4 with AltiVec, it seems likely that Gateway would want to be a Mac cloner as well (if possible!?) and that would help boost PPC volume. The current AmigaOS runs on Motorola 68000. wired.com ** David
