It was my understanding that one of the big problems ADVR had with the FDA was that they wanted to make sure the formula that was used 20 years ago is the SAME as the formula (so to speak) as the drug now. And on that note ADVR simply dropped the issue. Whether Dr. Hirschman has addressed this...well, your guess is as good as mine. So there are more issues with the FDA and testing than safety studies, etc.
