Yup!

This is a gradual whittling away of any n/t confidence. Of the casualties so far, roughly in chronological disaster:

INTC - KABOOM! - $1,000 PCs + product transition + inventory catch-up

MOT - BOOM! - the perpetual chicken running around with its head cut-off

NSM - DOUBLE KABOOM! - Cyrix and die

ADI - KABOOM! - surprised me with extent of negative surprise - industrial? problems (hoping not) - generic producer but analog is all over the place, DSP and analog strong I think so not sure what happened - could GM be a problem there too.

(AMD always KABOOM)

(MU - GLUT KABOOM)

TXN - partial DRAM BOOM - rest might be ok+

CRUS - company reinvention don't expect much but seems to be getting better - ok? n/t but still heavily PC related

ATML - company reinvention - ok+ n/t but SEA connection

----

and that leaves the only other 1 billion in sales semi not reporting any boom, kaboom etc and in fact is saying business is "fine thank-you" - business is "good".

-----

Like I said like holding a stick of dynamite while everyone around you (PC/commodity) is exploding.

-----

Kurlak's happy.

-----

Though ADI earnings negative surprise threw me I'm not surprised - I got out awhile back at 34 - believing my own "commodity" vs. "specialized" theory.
