ELWOOD--- How much longer are you going to wait on CPQ ? Some thoughts:
1)I have been in CPQ for ten months / bought in at 32 / 16k
2)I will probably wait till JULY / I do not know why because when they announced the 1.5 billion charge for DEC the stock will definitely take a hit .
3) The company has the potential to go to the high forties but I do not think it will happen until fourth qtr . The lack of feedback this last month is really bothering me because if there was a turn in their base business ( selling computers ) you would think we would be seeing it by now and that management would be touting it ( by the way the inventory issue , just in time issue can be talk about without DEC being involved in the conversation ).
4) It is amazing that DELL can make 400 million in the past qtr while CPQ can not . One issue that MR.DELL brought up today was the reduce prices that he has been paying for components ---He said the same thing back in FEB --- how long before this starts showing up in CPQ bottom line ?
5) I read between the lines on the thread that most people think DEC will push the stock higher but until CPQ starts acting DELL in controlling their costs this will not happen .
