Alan, I'm not an operations research expert, so maybe you'd better answer the question yourself. As to the second part of your post, did you read the HBR interview with Michael Dell? Very interesting reading in regard to service. I'm not sure that it is better to own a service company as in CPQ/DEC, or partner with one as Dell is doing. Any thoughts? TTFN, CTC
