I am a Belgian private investor and stock holder of ASND for 6 months. ASND has been going up ever since I bought it. I am getting a bit vertigo right now. I was going to sell everything and cash in my earnings, just when someone in my country whispered that ALCATEL was going to buy out ASND for 60$ a share. I could not get this information confirmed, so this might be a wild goose chase. Did anyone of you hear anything about this. Could it be true ? I want to sell, but selling and afterwards loosing all that money when it goes up to 60$ seems stupid. Any ideas ? The rumour over here gets stronger and stronger. Others come to mention it. Even just now someone on a Belgian discussion forum, claims to know that it's going to happen real soon! He says to have his information from inside Alcatel, the deal is made, just not made public yet ! A mail I send to Ascend was not replied upon. That's unusual. I did send some mails to them on other occasions and at least I got an answer (not that they reveal much, but still). Not even a strong denial or something generic like "we always look out for opportunities" or some of that stuff. Don't bet your horses on it, but something may be going on! I think I am going to stick with my Ascend shares for a few weeks more. I maybe lucky. Then again I might get unhappy. Who knows ?
