According to (somewhat old) Zack's data on Yahoo, here's what the analysts thought prior to the earnings release: Strong Buy 11 Moderate Buy 2 Hold 1 Moderate Sell 0 Strong Sell 0 I found out from Albert Kovalyov that there were actually two analysts who "got it right", i.e., had the "hold" recommendation: AG Edwards and DLJ Securities. Interestingly, of these two analysts, AG Edwards has no opinion on AMD and DLJ has a "Strong Buy." Petz
