I think the odds are good that the prices of the stocks you recommended will be quite a bit higher sometime over the next two years. However, given the extreme volatility of the techs, I think he should cash out at least 6 months before he needs the money. That way he minimizes the risk of having some extraneous factor (e.g., the Asian Flu) impact his ability to purchase a home at the last minute.
