Eric, I don't think getting a 56k modem would help much. It depends on where you are. I'm accessing Etrade from the east coast and I think their servers are in California. As a result, the lag can be fairly high. I do have a couple suggestions though. First, turn off the loading images option. If you are using netscape, go to "Options" and make sure "Auto Load Images" is clicked off. Also, before the market opens, logon and go to all the pages you plan on using for the day. Netscape doesn't cache secure web pages to disk, but leaves them in memory. Then leave netscape running the entire day. This should speed things up, but make sure you don't leave your computer unattended (so no one else uses your account). Hope this helps, Anand
