Edward: I agree with you 100%. Novell is a quality company
with quality products and plenty of very high-quality people
working for it.

I've been saying that for a long time now (and getting shot
down for it sometimes) but I'm keeping my Novell investment
for a long-term holding anyway...I'm satisfied that there'll
always be a Novell, either as a stand-alone company or as an
IBM subsidiary.

Speaking of IBM, let's remember what that stock looked like
about 3 years ago when it dumped to 40...and look at it now.
The latest forecasts for IBM after its 8 point rise today are for
a 190 level...not too shabby for those who bought and held
from 40.

Also, I mentioned an analogy to my investment in AMD: it fell
to under 10 in July and today it went over 25. I was buying
when the Intel folks were calling AMD investors nuts. Now,
in today's Mercury News, a report says that the pros are going
long on AMD and shorting Intel.

Judging by today's activity in those two stocks, Mercury News
appears to have hit the nail on the head. Maybe this forecast
will come true someday: the pros will go long on Novell and go
short on MSFT. At these prices (I think MSFT is over 150), I
think that scenario is not too unreasonable.

Good luck, Edward; I'm pleased to hear what you think about
my Novell investment and I know there are lots of others on
this thread who will feel the same.
