Chris, I'm sorry if you feel I came on too strong. Lucent went public in October, 1996, as a spinoff from t, at around $28.00 per share. I got a few shares as a result of the spinoff. I watched it charge ahead and decided on investing a few more dollars when the price was $48, in the winter of 1996. As you probably know, it proceeded to about $132 and split two for one in April, so at this point in time, I have more than tripled my investment in less than two years. That's what makes me a little irritable I guess when people begin to question the day to day minor fluctuations and question or speculate the near term movements. To be perfectly honest, even though I watch, I don't care. This company is a long term core holding in my portfolio and I hope my children appreciate it one day. Sorry if you took my message wrong, or if I came on too strong. Phil
