Why do you believe PC component prices might stabilize? I don't believe they will. They haven't in the past 16 years. I can remember when a 5 MByte PC hard drive cost $3,500. I can remember when a 13" color monitor cost $1,000. I can remember when 4 KByte of RAM cost $80.

Compaq is a powerhouse. I'm don't think the share Dell is gaining is coming from Compaq...yet.
