NN and ASND (and maybe FORE) will become hot properties over the next 6-12 months as the major Telecom Equip players finish playing musical chairs, in an effort to enter the datacom market.

I would add COMS to the list, too.

And Cisco's not exempt from merging. I've heard its name connected to several European telecoms players, and Chambers mentioned Nortel.

All the speculation about who might merge with whom reminds me of high school kids around Prom time. Basic Training for Dangerous Liaisons.
