Yes. The guys I knew at Boeing field (actually, the bar behind Boeing field :-) had mostly been fighter jocks in Korea and WW2. Several of them had all their front teeth missing because they subsequently went on to pro hockey. One guy I hung with had been married nine times, all the girls knew it, and they were still lined up to be #10. He was over sixty years old.

I miss them all. I don't think their ideas of what is risky are solid, though. Vis-a-vis acceptable flying risks.
