Website deployments can be as profitable as they are sexy... I don't know anything about iMall's business plan so I'm asking you if what I thought of makes sense.
The iMall press release says this: iMALL's success at bringing on more than 1,600 retailers, as well as several large brand name anchor stores, including FAO Schwarz, Hanes, and Barnes & Noble, compelled the company to upgrade its on-line shopping mall system. The enhanced system is a component-based, multitier architecture with ObjectStore caching retailer and product data in the middle tier for optimal performance and scalability.

Now, we all know that one efficient, straightforward way for iMall to manage such a wide online retailer base is to allow its customers to access their database online. This way retailers can change their prices or modify their product lists, etc on the fly! While leaving the graphical design and the Java/C++ ''heavywork'' to iMall's DB-managers. All the retailers need is a user-ID and a password to access their webstore online.
Could such a framework mean a potential 1,600 licenses pack for ODIS? If it could then I want this iMall business to get worldwide asap!

Regards,
Gustave.
