You are correct in most of your assumptions. As far as packaging the paint strippers in aerosol cans, it took some time for K&G Packaging to successfully make it happen. And yes, it is amazing how well it works. The reason is due to the fact that the paint stripper comes out from the can as a liquid and as soon as it comes in contact with the solid substrate to be striped, turns in to a light fine sticky foam. This foam penetrates the coatings to be striped very easy and does not evaporate readily. As far as Du Pont "being in the game", to the best of my knowledge it is not correct. We are currently developing some new products for etching and chem-filming aircraft aluminum. At the present time Du Pont is the major supplier of these materials. If we successfully conclude the R&D and the required tests I would than be more inclined to say that Du Pont would be "out of the game" as far as main supplier for the above described chemicals.
