Re: Reality Check... After reviewing the press releases from all parties I seem to be leaning toward your view in that hopefully a major OEM announcement will come shortly. After taking a quick glance at HAUP (1997 revenues of $25.6 million, but up 74% from '96, and so far in'98 revenues up 35% in first six months) and GNET (six months 1998 sales of less than $1 million), we're not talking about partnerships with the likes of IBM. While these partners are high visibility companies I sure would like to see an agreement with some of the other names rumored over the past few weeks including DEL, IM, IBM and others. Let's wait and see.
On a brighter note I did like the language in the Press Release regarding the HAUP agreement....

Business Wire
14:20 Hauppauge Digital To Include Wave Systems' WaveMeter In Select WinTV Models:
Signals Start of Era of Convenient Pay-Per-Use For Broadcast Data

.....The second part of the announcement re: the new era is the first time I can recall this term being emphasized. I hope the press and individuals pick up on this phrase.
Let's all enjoy the ride but, as in the words of a 1980's television character, "...Let's be careful out there!".
