(Nasdaq:CUBE - news), the market leader in digital video technology, today announced that Hitachi,
Ltd. (NYSE:HIT - news) has selected C-Cube's ZiVA(tm) single-chip DVD decoder to achieve
theater-quality digital video playback on its new consumer DVD player, the DV-K2.

Hitachi, a recognized leader in global electronics, selected C-Cube's ZiVA to provide the high level
of audio, video and system integration necessary to bring this feature-rich solution to market.

DV-K2 With ZiVA: Advanced DVD and Error Correction

The DV-K2 is the first consumer DVD player to leverage the C-Cube decoder for both 2x and 4x
zoom to enlarge any portion of the video and DiscView(tm) for a thumbnail overview of disc
contents. Hitachi's DV-K2 also builds on C-Cube's innovation in error correction to offer an
industry-leading solution for maintaining smooth playback even with severely scratched discs. The
advanced DVD capabilities and error correction from Hitachi and C-Cube deliver increased
