Dear DD: Wide range is likely caused by company failing to give adequate and thorough guidance to the analysts. I believe that Jenkins himself doesnt know. Problem is that there are so many variables that are difficult for him to forecast and he seems to be a timid soul when it comes to forecasting. Someone ought to tell him that projections are based upon assumptions not facts so its ok to try. If everything we have been told is true, it would appear that they have nearly an unlimited potential volume but it is restricted by the ability to hire adequate trained personnel timely and by customers releasing the funds to perform remediation promptly. I presume everyone wants to wait to the last possible moment to spend money on something that provides no improvement just continued existence. To counteract that, I would have STIFF rate increases in calendar 1999 for old as well as new customers. Then offer the employees in 1999 some type of performance bonus as they will be working their derriers off. JDN
