From briefing.com: 08:59 ET Excite Inc (XCIT) 60 3/16: Marine protein and food services company, Zapata Corp (ZAP 11 3/8), makes unsolicited bid to acquire Internet search concern. Proposes merger at $72 per share. Says seeks approval of XCIT board and will only proceed if on friendly terms. XCIT currently halted. Forgot to mention, the proposed deal would be all stock. On a market-cap basis, XCIT is 5 times larger than ZAP. ======= May be amazon.com as well will find some profitable company with 5 times lower market cap to merge with?
