Stephen, You may want to drop a line to the Webmaster here at SI and have him change to PKT.A, just a thought.
Have noticed a considerable difference in performance. I guess when I evaluate a piece of software the first thing I consider is if the price is warranted in comparison to the benefits derived. In this case, PEAK.NET.JET is a winner hands down for $29.95, especially if you put a price on your time.
I still would reco that anyone considering a purchase of this stock, first try the free download this weekend. After using it for 24 hrs of browsing, if you don't see a marked improvement in performance speed, I'd be surprised. It took about 5 return visits to any particular web site to start to see a difference, then continued to get faster with more use, up to about 10 returns, now it is hard to see anymore percecived increase after that, but what a cumulative difference overall. Should sell like hotcakes at $29.95.
I spoke briefly with the company yesterday, most of the mucky-mucks were busy preparing to leave for Comdex. The day before the young lady in Investor relations was telling me that the phones have ringing off the hook. Seems every reporter East of Eden wanted to schedule an interview with the CEO at Comdex. I told her why they just didn't schedule a press meeting and she stated that something was tentatively in the works. Also stated that Venture Capitalists have been knocking on their doors.
If all goes right, they should grab a lot of gusto at Comdex and be able to garner a lot of momentum with the retailers, going into the Xmas season. With Comp USA, Best Buy, and Electronic Boutique already being shipped, any more press in the mainstream mags and this one will have more money coming through the front door then they know what to do with. BTW, they do have two other products in development, so they aren't a one trick pony. They have 21 employees, and are hiring some pretty key people. I read over some their credentials and this is no fly by night, out of your basement operation. Check out the info on their web site wwww.peak-media.com, this is one hot little company.
