Stan, I think even the core holdings should at least be trimmed and added to once in a while ... the bellweather ones MSFT, CSCO, INTC, ORCL ... should be trimmed right before judgement day (that is, reporting day) ... you stand to lose a lot if there's a negative surprise ... and don't gain much on a positive one ... another way is selling covered calls ... On the other hand, during market corrections, these are the safe havens, and will be the first to climb back from the grave ... just like in August ... so these are the times to double-up, as in BlackJack ...

Stan, to be a successful trader, how much should you play with each day ... and do you make it a point to close your positions every day, except when there's anticipated follow though, as in Zitel ...
I'm getting quite bored with the line of work I'm doing right now ... obviously ...

By the way, do you play poker ... I view the market as one big poker session ... people always trying to bluff ,,, and the one who blinks first loses ...
